I can't apologize enough for the lack of posts, but I figured that on my last day of summer I might as well do a big master post. In case you didn't notice, there are some big changes in the design of the blog, on both the desktop and mobile versions, so feel free to comment how you feel about it, and if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Despite the hiatus in posting, I stayed true to my goal of wearing crocs at least once a week. Especially toward the end of the school year, my crocs were worn more than once a week, since they are my lucky test taking shoes.
This summer gave my crocs great exposure. While working at Camp Chingachgook, I found that crocs were the optimal choice in footwear. Not only are they closed toed, crocs are waterproof and comfortable. If I went a day without wearing my crocs then something must have been seriously wrong with me. I made it my goal to keep each shoe themed in terms of jibbitz, and I tried to change the themes at least every session. Let me tell you, if you're ever stuck trying to make conversation with someone, talk about crocs. Crocs are a fashion statement, and when jibbitz are added, it's a whole different ballgame. Kids and counselors of all ages commented about my crocs. I was asked where I got my jibbitz. I was asked if people could have my jibbitz. I was told that people appreciated my themes. I think I can say that my crocs were some of the most talked about footwear of the summer.
Here is a list of some of my themes:
- Modes of transportation
- Star Wars (villains on left shoe, heroes on right shoe)
- All things green (yeah green team!)
- Superheroes
- Disney princesses
You can bet that I will continue to wear my crocs at least once a week, and honestly it will probably become an every day thing by the end of senior year. I hope you didn't miss the blog too much (but if you did, I would be very honored)! Feel free to sauce the blog a subscription and please comment below. I want to hear from you, my fans. Also, as an added bonus, giving the blog a shoutout on any form of social media/in person, will get you your own personal shoutout on an upcoming blogpost.
Keep on crocking!
New format looks great. So glad you started posting again!
