This past week I made a few mistakes which resulted in sore feet but a warm heart. On a trip to Florida, I forgot to pack my crocs! I don't know how I forgot, but I did, and because of this, I was left to use some of my mom's sandals. The first day in these sandals, I got two blisters. When I tried a new pair, I got two more. Was this karma? Was something trying to show me that I made a mistake?
As I walked along the beach multiple times throughout the week, crocs were everywhere. Babies wearing crocs, adults wearing crocs, you name it! All different shapes and sizes of crocs - more types than I ever thought possible. And I realized something about crocs...they are a symbol of togetherness and happiness. Crocs are the universal language of love and comfort. Families of all backgrounds wore their crocs together. Old couples embraced their crocdom together. Once you accept the footwear, you realize how ideal crocs are. If I had my crocs, I would have avoided the blisters I have had for seven days.
For the new year, I would like to leave you all with some advice, never embark on a trip without crocs, wherever you go. If you are like me, it will end up biting you...in the toes.

Guest Crocking pt2
Wow what an honor it is to be asked to write on the renowned Croc Blog. I'm thrilled to be sharing my story with all of you. What an exciting day it's been. I signed up to lifeguard at the mini meet my club team hosts every December and received the riveting shift from 10:00-5:00! As I packed my lunch this morning mom wonderful mother reminded me to pack a pair of flip flops for the grimy pool deck. But I thought to myself "Why wear flip flops when Crocs will do the job?". Lately I've been inspired from Zoe's fashion forward look and I decided to break out my pair of green crocs, accompanied by 11 jibits for my day. It's been upwards of 6 years since I last had these babies on and let me tell you I've been missing out. While providing adequate coverage from drafts, as well as water proofing, my dear old Crocs were the ideal footwear choice for my long day at the pool. Wouldn't want to spend my Saturday any other way than at Union College for 7 hours in my decked out green crocs from circa 2006.

Guest Crockin
Sorry to keep everyone waiting, but it's finally time for me to make my appearance on the crocs blog. A few months ago, while getting ready for school after a late night doing homework, I really wasn't feeling the whole school thing, or putting on real clothes, and was leaving early to make the long trip to Buffalo, NY. I decided to settle on a pair of leggings and a classic piece UPenn quarter zip, and I knew I wanted to wear thick, nice socks. The problem was, I didn't want to wear boots, or sneakers, as it was passed open toed shoe time (though that hasn't stopped me from wearing socks and birks since), and I knew I wanted to wear shoes that wouldn't restrict my feet, as I was about to spend 4 hours in a car with my peers. All of a sudden, it clicked. I had gotten a new, sleek pair of black crocs over the summer, and I knew it was finally time to openly wear them at school. So, with some slight hesitancy but mainly excitement, I put on my crocs and went on my way to school. I was surprised - though I expected after a full school day for the rubber crocs to start to become uncomfortable, the opposite was true. The more I wore them, the more comfortable they became. The croc shapes to your foot, and after awhile, you forgot you're wearing anything other than comfy socks. In spite of the fact that I was a little nervous about what people would say to me, I found myself openly directing my peers to my choice of footwear, and the feedback was mainly positive. Though some may have been being sarcastic or funny when they complimented the choice, I didn't care. I felt very confident in my crocs, though I'm sure I looked like a student who has given up on life (which, I have). It also helped raise my confidence that first day when Zoe and I accidentally twinned in our crocs and quarter zips, seeing us both sport the black croc look in English. Overall, I loved my time wearing crocs, and though lately I have been doing more socks and sandals, the crocs are always a comfortable and timeless classic that I will always return to.

I don't fib about jibz
Good evening Crocsters,
So much to update you on! First of all, I grabbed a great discount on jibbitz last week. 100 jibbitz for $13. Incredible considering single jibbit prices. Many of the reviews said that the random jibbit types they got, did not have much variety, but mine was awesome ((as pictured below)). Also, they gave me two bonus jibbitz for a total of 102. Now you must be thinking, gee whiz, what could she possibly do with all these jibbitz? Well, there are many answers. First off, I have already given some to my friend Lulu, who is a fellow croc lover, and has agreed to write a post for you guys. Second, I have already sorted them by type and color to try to determine the ideal way to wear them. Today I featured modes of transportation on the left, and Toy Story on the right. Other times I might try a shoe of care bears, or Monsters Inc. I'm not sure yet but I know there are endless possibilities
Today, my crook (croc look) featured the description above, paired with thick wool socks, jeans, and a sweater. I must say, perfect conditions. I was warm, comfortable and fashionable and they made my long day more bearable. If you have any more suggestions for me, please comment below. I always love to hear from fans. Shoutouts of the week go to Lulu (as mentioned above), Alex - a true fan who I would give a jibbit to any day, Liz (my camp co) for this great post title, and Hoeseph for being bomb and wearing her crocs today too.
