Hey Croc Lovers-
I've been back at Chingachgook for the past two weeks, which is why I was unable to post. So far, the croc wearing has been a wonderful experience, minus a few bumps and bruises along the way.
On the first day of session 5, blisters began forming around where the band meets the shoe on both of my feet. I went to ask the nurse for some moleskin and she told me that I should stop wearing crocs. Have no fear everybody, these cruel words did not stop me. Instead, I began to wear socks with my crocs, and the results were more comfortable and better all around. Unfortunately, that same day, I lost the head of my final alligator, leaving but a sad blue tail to remain.
These crocs also sparked many conversations among counselors who told me that they loved my obsession with crocs, campers who had a love of Star Wars, and even adults in the real world. When I dropped Zachary off at college this past Friday, we visited the Hillel so he could see it. When we got there, we were greeted with warm welcomes, hummus and chips, and people who told us they loved my crocs. Zachary then told them about his birkencrocs ((I'll post pics later)) and all in all we had a great experience.
As summer comes to a close, the croc challenge might finally start becoming difficult. Keep posted and keep on crocking!

Croc Day 1: 7/20/16
Hi Everybody-
Today I got my new crocs. It was a wild ride to get them. While at the Lake George outlets 2 weeks ago, I ordered a pair of men's 7 which came in the mail a week later. Unfortunately those were the same size as my old crocs. I went to the Famous Footwear in Niskayuna to return them last Sunday and decided to order an identical pair in a size 5. I was nervous that my new crocs wouldn't come in time for camp but they came today! They are slightly too small but it makes me feel more secure. No more tripping over my feet ((knock on wood)).
The next decision is which jibbitz to put in my crocs. My options include: alligator, og soccer ball, og gem, chewbacca, Han Solo, Darth Maul, Yoda x2, storm trooper, clone trooper, R2D2 and C3PO, Star Wars, the Clone Wars, Luke sky walker, and General Grevious x2. Please comment if you have any opinions as to which I should include. My CIT friend Josie has been kind enough to help me in this tough process and she has just informed me that she will me joining my croc quest ❤️❤️
One final piece of advice I will share with all you croc lovers is to not wear crocs when you have a blister on your foot because it is painful.
Thanks for reading. Also if anyone wants to get me a sticker of a crocodile wearing crocs, that would be much appreciated.

Croc Challenge
I had no idea when or what I would post for my croc blog, however I decided today while watching the Olympic opening ceremony that there would be no better time than during all of the commercial breaks.
This year, I've decided to do a crocs challenge. It is pretty simple: My goal is to wear my crocs at least once a week for a whole year, and each time I wear them, I hope to write about my day on this blog.
There are things I need to consider before doing this. I would like to purchase new crocs because one of mine has no safety strap. Having no safety strap would make this mission dangerous, especially in the crowded halls of Niskayuna High School. I bought a pair last week but found that I'm a men's size 5, not 6. Unfortunately I bought them online.
Another issue is what to do during the Winter months, however, I think I have solved this. During winter, I will begin a socks and crocs campaign where I will wear thick socks with my crocs.
In addition, I have a problem where I tend to lose my jibbitz. I think I'm going to glue them on once I buy my new crocs.
I hope all you croc lovers enjoy this blog and tell me if you are joining my quest. Thanks.
